The GOP and the Senate

You know things are grim when the chairman of the GOP Senatorial Committee is already lowering expectations for the Republicans' performance in the upcoming election. On the other hand, as long as you've got yahoos like publius rabble-rousing for stripping Joe Lieberman of his Democratic seniority, there are at least ways to stop the bleeding. Such an action would almost certainly force Lieberman to caucus with the GOP.
