Yet Another Ethanol Process

A report on Coskata, an ethanol startup that cracks cellulosic feedstock to syngas, then feeds it to bacteria to convert it to ethanol. Looks like early days but it's promising. Vastly better energy balance than corn (duh!). GM has invested in it.
