Some Ammunition For the Inequality Debate

WSJ reports on a Treasury Dept. study that shows considerably more upward income mobility than is generally supposed.

My initial criticism of this is that it's based on income tax returns. I suspect that the percentage of bottom-quintile earners that simply don't file a tax return is pretty high. We can't tell if those earners are mobile or not.
